Job Title: Director of Logistics
Reports to: VP of Operations & Logistics
Division: Operations & Logistics
OVERVIEW
The Director of Logistics is responsible for managing the end-to-end operations within the company’s supply chain, fulfillment and shipping. Foster and maintain relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, freight brokers, vendors and final mile carriers, while effectively managing cost.
Ensure all system processes align with peak efficiency and are in alignment with company policies and procedures, as well as developing and leading the logistical strategy. You will be expected to be proficient in all aspects of the business and will partner with multiple departments, such as Information Technology, Finance, Product Category Management and Business to Business.
Effectively manage the company’s indirect procurement, responsible for sourcing both the non-branded and branded category, driving cost savings, improving terms and conditions, and optimizing operational support in line with annual roadmaps.
This person is a key leader in the company’s digital transformation, which includes enterprise resource planning system migration. As such, this person will take an overall business operations viewpoint in process creation, evaluation, documentation and improvement.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
· Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
· Assist the Global Head Operations Transformation with the company’s BnShape digital transformation project, with a focused effort within the Supply Chain Management work stream.
· Responsible for overseeing a diverse set of large-scale projects that require collaboration with cross-functional teams through the organizational.
· Oversee the indirect procurement process, managing and maintain vendor relationships, developing new cost-effective solutions and managing the end-to-end processes.
· Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of information and technology system investments.
· Work with clients, business teams and technical teams to define business needs or create new business opportunities and implement innovative solutions that meet business objectives. Translate business and technical requirements into Business Analysis deliverable documents.
· Effectively manage Warehouse Logistics, ensuring product is processed accurately according to acceptable timelines. Using key metrics as a tool, streamline and constantly improve inbound and outbound logistics.
· Responsible for armored shipments in conjunction with off-site marketing events.
· Effectively manage all carrier customs, including shipment clearance and applicable drawbacks.

QUALIFICATIONS
· 3+ years of retail business Logistics experience
· 6+ years of related business process improvement
· Change management experience preferred
· Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
· SQL/Crystal query and reporting experience is preferred
· Proven success in a fast-paced retail environment.
· Excellent numerical aptitude and detail oriented
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Knowledgeable in US customs law
· A bachelor’s degree is preferred
SALARY RANGE: $130,000-150,000.00
