Tourneau|Bucherer is seeking a Summer 2024 Operations  Intern who will provide support to the members of the Operations team on a variety of projects over for the summer internship program period.

Period: 9 weeks starting on June 11, 2024
Compensation: $16 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday *Interns will be required to work in office fully on-site

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE INVOLVED IN:

The Operations & Logistics intern will assist the Operations & Logistics Department in daily administrative tasks and activities while demonstrating excellent administration, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Audit existing asset inventory files and correct discrepancies as needed
  • Review, maintain and update standard operating procedures with contact reference changes
  • Assist in the fulfillment of non-branded assets to stores
  • Review loss report database content and work closely with the Corporate Operations team to make enhancements
  • Participate in unclaimed customer owned inventory process with the Service Operations team
  • Assist in the compilation of in-store audit and training sessions conducted by the Store Operations team
  • Update store contact information, for Store Operations reference
  • Assist the Receiving and Distribution department with processing and gain an understanding of product work-flow
  • Support in the planning of store opening and relocation operational logistics
  • Collaborate with Operations and Logistics team to understand internal process and make thoughtful improvement recommendations
  • Draft and compile Corporate Operations follow-up emails and communications regarding client insurance claims
  • Flexible to support at 5th Avenue and Long Island City office as needed.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or Communications, or related field
  • Proven experience working in an office environment
  • Ability to maintain utmost professionalism and discretion.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work autonomously
  • Basic understanding of business operations
  • Team player with a positive, can do attitude
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Detail oriented with outstanding administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office; strong -Proficiency in excel and access a plus
  • Passion for solutions based problem solving

SALARY RANGE: $16/hour, nonexempt OT eligible.
