Bucherer USA is looking for a Watchmaker to join our team. The Watchmaker is a skilled craft professional responsible for the complete service, repair, and quality assurance of luxury timepieces in a high-standards service environment, requiring technical excellence, disciplined execution, and a commitment to precision, consistency, and continuous improvement. The role operates within a collaborative workshop in support of exceptional client outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform complete mechanical watch service and repair in accordance with established technical standards, procedures, and defined tolerances.
• Diagnose functional, aesthetic, and performance-related issues and execute regulated adjustments, and perform final timing.
• Ensure all components, gaskets, assemblies, and final casing meet specification prior to delivery.
• Conduct, document, and validate all required testing, including water resistance, rate performance, and functional checks.
• Complete service documentation to support traceability, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
• Perform final quality control checks when required, confirming aesthetic condition, functional integrity, and service completeness.
• Collaborate effectively with estimators, case preparation, polishing, cleaning, quality control, and leadership to support efficient workflow and shared quality objectives.
• Demonstrate flexibility in supporting adjacent functions and communicate proactively regarding technical concerns, delays, or quality risks.
• Use tools, equipment, and systems responsibly while maintaining a clean, organized, and professional workshop environment consistent with luxury service standards.
• Participate in ongoing training, skills development, and continuous improvement of workshop processes, equipment, and standards.
Qualifications:
• Formal training in watchmaking or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience servicing luxury mechanical watches to high standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to pass required bench and technical evaluations.
• Comfort working within defined procedures, documentation systems, and quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-expectation environment.
SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $105,000/year
